- Team member identifies s/he is in need of help/additional resources
on a project.
- The team member decides who would be the best candidate on the team
to provide assistance (i.e., based on time available, necessary
skill set, etc.)
- A high level, 3-5 minute meeting is held between the team members as
soon as possible to discuss:
- What the project/assignment entails
- Timing:
- Turnaround time (overall time needed to complete assignment)
- Amount of time assignment requires each day
- Deadline(s)
- Invoicing - have additional hours been requested/approved by the
client? How many hours are assigned to this particular task?
- Potential roadblocks
- The new team member is to send an e-mail to the team accepting the
project/assignment
- The e-mail must include:
- A plan of action to execute the project/assignment
- A communication plan with the team (milestones, hourly, etc.)
- Project Manager approves the hand off
