-There is likely always going to be an extensive backlog for CEF, Connect and PayHub
-"Game changing" ideas will be bumped to the forefront (see: Common Model for Connect)
-Not every idea or change will make sense for our business - please don't take it personally if your idea doesn't make sense for the business at this time
-PLEASE do not work on something for our core products without getting approval first - we don't want to run into a situation where something was worked on in your spare time that ultimately will not be adopted
-A key question to ask yourself when thinking up improvements to our products is "how will this change help improve profitability?"

-Who ultimately decides what direction we go for each of our products?
The CEO (Chris Reddick), the CTO (Eric Weathers) and the COO (Brandon Murphy) ultimately make those calls. They collaborate with the sales and marketing team, as well as development team members to think through what our clients are asking for and how to increase efficiency for the development team
-I didn't read this article until after I created a branch and did 50 hours worth of work in my spare time and just submitted a PR into core - it will be approved, right?
The PR will be reviewed in detail but assume it will not in fact be approved - schedule a meeting with Eric and Brandon and see how we might be able to use some of the work you've done, but be prepared to hear "that doesn't currently make sense for our business"
