Non-billable hours are provided as a courtesy to some Clarity
employees for the purpose of contributing to the company and individual
growth and maintaining exceptional quality and service.
All non-billable hours are subject to review, abuse of non-billable
hours can be subject to internal review, write-up, and/or dismissal.
All non-billable hours are to be logged in detail and are subject to
the same level of accountability as ascribed to clients. Descriptions
are to be clear and dates and duration are to be accurate.
Qualifying employees will receive 1 non-billable hour to log against for
every 7 billable hours.
Non-billable privileges may be reduced, revoked, or expanded at
managerial discretion.
- Your non-billable time should be a combination of the following, please
note that spending time on some items is *REQUIRED.
- Updating time logs and keeping internally shared records of client
communications
- Assisting the marketing department with proposals and estimate
generation
- Contributing to the company wiki or blog*
- Approved training items that are recorded in your individual
training plan*
- Approved additions to Clarity marketing materials and websites
- Providing extra service to clients in difficult situations and
rare circumstances that do not allow for billable time
- Chatting with co-workers regarding items that are not Clarity related
- Lunches or lunch meetings
- Leisure, entertainment or relaxation
- Anything that does not specifically meet one of the appropriate use
conditions
