¶ Setting up a UAT local
- Zip the UAT/extensions and UAT/live folders on the marketing server (in 500MB chunks), upload to transferbigfiles, and download on your local machine.
- Download the CLARITY_CUSTOM_UAT AND CLARITY_DNN_UAT database backups to your local machine and add them to your local in ssms.
- Add the website in IIS cvi-local.clarityclient.com, point the site at the UAT/live folder, and then edit bindings to add the https binding and select the recent certificate.
- Add an entry for this site into your hosts file
- In UAT/live/web.config comment out line 116 and uncomment 117
¶ Push UAT to Prod
- Confirm clarity-ventures.com is pointing at Marketing Dev server in the hosts file
- Push to prod tool on Marketing Dev Server: C:\Data\Tools\CMSManager must run as an Administrator
- In the File Methods tab show updated content, select the desired files, check the push to prod sim checkbox and push to prod sim.
- Verify files updated in the Prod Sim project folder: C:\Data\Projects\CVI\PROD_SIM_2022_02_02\live
- Uncheck the prod sim checkbox and check the production mode checkbox and push selected files to production
- Go onto the production server 10.100.20.101. Go into IIS and right click on the production site clarity-ventures.com (www.) and Explore to enter the production directory, then verify that the updated files are there.
