Clarity supports employees in their civic duty to serve on a jury. Employees must present the summons to jury duty to their supervisor and Operations as soon as possible after receiving the notice to allow advance planning for an employee’s absence. If an employee does not notify their manager and Operations in advance, they must take their time off for jury duty using their PTO or unpaid.
Employees will receive one day off for jury duty service. All employees may use PTO if required to serve more than 1 day on a jury.
If an employee is released from jury duty at 4 hours or less, the employee must report to work for the remainder of that workday, or use PTO to take the remainder of the day off.
Employees must send the following documentation in order to have their Jury Duty Time approved:
Time for appearance in court for personal business will be the individual employee’s responsibility. PTO will be used for this purpose.
