If a team member is unable to join the domain first check the OS version
- If the OS is home, it will be unable to join the domain
- Use windows search feature
Try using Forticlient to join the domain
- Ensure username and password is correct
- Check that Forticlient is using the correct DNS address
- Check the bytes sent and received
- If the bytes sent are either 0 or an extremely low amount, Forticlient is most likely not working properly
Try using Sonicwall
- Make sure to change the adapter properties of Sonicwall to the following:
- Then attempt to join the domain
- Make sure to use hq\First.Last credentials
- Should be successful if not check the following
- Windows Version
- Windows Updates
- Forticlient Active
- Another VPN active
- Ping the Active Directory servers by ip and FQDN
