The following template can be used and modified for when a project may require additional hours than initially estimated for discovery.

In our original conversations, our understanding was that the initial discovery and proof of concept would only be for our standard “out of box” [Connect / CEF] offering.
In a recent meeting, it has come to our attention that your team would like the project to include some additional customizations beyond what is readily available within our standard [Connect/CEF] offering. After reviewing the customizations that your team would like applied, we would like to propose that your team purchase an additional INSERT NUMBER HERE hours to ensure we have plenty of hours on hand to complete your discovery. Any remaining hours after discovery can be utilized during any additional development phases. Please let us know if you have any questions.
